Dear Colleagues:
This issue of ACCP International Clinical Pharmacist features important resources for pharmacy educators and practitioners.
The article titled "2016 ACCP Pharmacotherapy Didactic Curriculum Toolkit Released" summarizes key points about the 2016 pharmacotherapy toolkit published to support pharmacy educators in developing and updating the pharmacotherapy curricula at their colleges and schools of pharmacy. The toolkit reflects findings from the contemporary literature and expert opinions and delineates the diseases and content topics that students and residents must learn throughout their professional degree programs and residency training in order to achieve the competencies needed for the provision of high-quality direct patient care. The toolkit is an essential resource for pharmacy educators and academic leaders responsible for the design and quality assurance of pharmacotherapy curricula around the globe.
The book featured in the Book Highlights department is the first of three books of the Ambulatory Care Self-Assessment Program to be released in 2017. Oncologic/Hematologic Care provides the most up-to-date literature and medication management strategies for various conditions associated with the care of patients with cancer in the ambulatory care setting.
I am confident that educators and clinicians will find the resources highlighted in this issue to be of value.
Sincerely,
Wafa Y. Dahdal, Pharm.D., BCPS
