Dear Colleagues:
This issue of ACCP International Clinical Pharmacist highlights resources for schools and colleges of pharmacy as well as for individual practitioners and faculty members. The article titled “Professional Development of the Pharmacy Practice Faculty Member” describes a framework for the development of pharmacy practice faculty members that can be adopted by schools and colleges of pharmacy. The framework can serve as a guide for the development of the individual faculty member as a practitioner, teacher, researcher, and scholar.
The article titled “Programming for the Clinical Practitioner, Educator, Researcher, and Leader in San Francisco” highlights some of the continuing education activities that will be offered during the upcoming ACCP Global Conference and that address the same areas outlined in the first article. I trust that whether your primary responsibilities are related to teaching pharmacy students or residents, providing care to patients, conducting research, or serving in a leadership position, you will find programming that fits and complements your continuing professional development plans.
I look forward to seeing many of you in San Francisco. If this is your first time attending an ACCP meeting, I hope to see you at the Global Newcomers Reception, to be held Monday, October 19, 2015, from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Sincerely,
Wafa Y. Dahdal, Pharm.D., BCPS
