Program Overview
This is a foundational course designed to provide participants with an introductory background in organizational behavior theory and fundamental philosophical concepts of leadership. Several
definitions of leadership will be explored and discussed together with philosophical leadership thought. The course is meant to further stimulate each participant to seek additional study and
experience in this area. Material covered will involve principles and concepts prevalent from the early 1900s to the 21st century.

For students only
Program Overview Developed specifically for student pharmacists, this program will explore the many facets of choosing a career in research. The
various types of research and the opportunities and challenges found in each will be discussed, as well as what factors motivate pharmacists to pursue these
different research venues. Participants will interact with current research faculty, residents, and fellows, and learn the variety of career paths available
in research.
1:00 p.m. - 5:15 p.m. Planning for Effective Teaching ACCP Academy Teaching and Learning Certificate Program
Program Overview This program is designed to help you understand the purposes and strategies for planning a course or clinical experience. Included
in the discussions will be how to create learning outcomes for didactic and clinical settings as well as how to construct teaching strategies for students to
achieve the learning outcomes. Attendees will learn to devise strategies to create an environment that is conducive to achieving your learning outcomes.
