Bratberg, Coleman, Flynn to Receive ACCP Honors

ACCP members Jeffrey Bratberg, Pharm.D., BCPS; Craig Coleman, Pharm.D.; and Jeremy Flynn, Pharm.D., BCPS, were selected by the 2008 ACCP Awards Committee to receive the College’s prestigious 2009 New Educator, New Investigator, and New Clinical Practitioner Awards, respectively. The awards will be presented in Orlando on Monday, April 27, 2009, during the Opening General Session of the 2009 International Congress on Clinical Pharmacy.

Curricular Programming at International Congress

This spring, join other clinical pharmacists from around the world at the 2009 ACCP/ESCP International Congress on Clinical Pharmacy. On April 24–28, join your colleagues to exchange best practices and discuss hot topics in the global health care arena. Meeting events will be held at the Orange County Convention Center and Rosen Centre Hotel in sunny Orlando, Florida. Dahdal Joins ACCP as Associate Director of Professional Development

Wafa Y. Dahdal, Pharm.D., BCPS (AQ Cardiology), has been named ACCP Associate Director of Professional Development after a national search conducted this fall. She will oversee the planning, development, and delivery of key components of the College’s professional development products and services, including the Pharmacotherapy Self-Assessment Program (PSAP) and the ACCP Academy.

Nominations Invited for the Prestigious 2009 Parker Medal

Letters of nomination are invited for the 2009 Paul F. Parker Medal for Distinguished Service to the Profession of Pharmacy. The Parker Medal recognizes an individual who has made outstanding and sustained contributions to improving or expanding the profession of pharmacy in an area of professional service—including, but not limited to, patient care, leadership, administration, finance, technology, information processing, service delivery, models of care, and advocacy. The award is not limited to pharmacists or ACCP members.
