Tenure-track Position, Social and Administrative Health Sciences
Kansas City Campus
This tenure-track faculty position, serving as a member of the Division of Pharmacy Practice and Administration with a teaching and research emphasis in the social and administrative health sciences, is available at the Assistant, Associate, or Professor level. The faculty member will be expected to develop and maintain an extramurally funded research program, collaborate with other faculty to build the graduate program in social and administrative sciences, provide professional and graduate student instruction, and serve both the University and his/her own discipline. Opportunities for collaboration exist with faculty members within the school, state government health agencies, managed care organizations, health professional schools within UMKC, and a nationally ranked school of business and public administration. The faculty member will also be an integral part of facilitating the curriculum and leading large- and small-group teaching. The social and administrative health sciences position is located at the UMKC Health Sciences Building in Kansas City at a multidisciplinary medical center campus. Candidates should have a doctor of philosophy degree in an area of pharmacy administration or health services research.
University of Missouri–Kansas City School of Pharmacy
The School of Pharmacy offers an entry-level doctor of pharmacy degree. The program is delivered by faculty at the Kansas City campus and at the satellite campus in Columbia, Missouri. The entering class size is 123–195 students at the Kansas City campus and 28 students at the Columbia campus. The Division of Pharmacy Practice is composed of more than 30 energetic faculty representing a broad array of disciplines. The Division is growing to a total of 38 positions to support the increased class size. The new Health Sciences Building in Kansas City, housing the School, opened in the summer of 2007. The satellite program, located on the University of Missouri–Columbia campus, includes health science programs in allied health, medicine, and nursing.
