Elenbaas Honored as ACCP's Founding Executive Director
Portrait to Be Displayed Permanently at ACCP Headquarters
On February 28 in Kansas City, Missouri, the leadership of the College, the ACCP Research Institute, and Pharmacotherapy honored founding ACCP Executive Director Robert M. Elenbaas by unveiling an oil portrait that literally captures his persona as the original "face of ACCP." Commissioned by the ACCP Board of Regents and painted by well-known Kansas City artist Dixie Laval, the portrait was prepared from a series of photographs without Elenbaas' knowledge.

NIH Establishes Pharm.D. Gateway
Recognizing that clinical pharmacists contribute to the health of society through education, patient care, and research, the National Institutes of Health have created the "Pharm.D. Gateway to the NIH" at www.nigms.nih.gov/training/pharmd_gateway.htm. The Web site provides information about NIH funding opportunities for Pharm.D. faculty, postdoctoral researchers, and pharmacy students interested in biomedical and behavioral research.
