Providence Health and Services (PH&S) in Portland offers a unique approach to regionalization of our residency program. This provides the resident with an opportunity for rotations throughout the system. PH&S in Portland encompasses over 1,000 inpatient beds, a physician group practice, home services and a managed care program. Strengths of the residency program include: ambulatory care, acute care, critical care, cardiology, infectious disease, geriatrics, nutrition support, home infusion, and managed care. Pharmacy services throughout the system are committed to the provision of comprehensive pharmaceutical care, including participation in collaborative drug therapy management protocols. Both Providence Portland and Providence St. Vincent Medical Centers have been consistently rated in the top 100 hospitals in the nation by HCIA.
