PGY1 residency with focus on ambulatory care, offered by Idaho State University in cooperation with the VA Salt Lake City Health Care System. Our training site is the VA Pocatello Community-based Outpatient Clinic. This residency will help you develop skills in chronic disease state management, with particular focus on diabetes, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, oral anticoagulation and pain management. The resident will practice in a highly collaborative environment and have extensive responsibility for patient care. Experience also includes teaching, working with Idaho Drug Information Service, working with the Idaho State University Clinical Outcomes Research Group and completion of a residency project.
