This University of Washington affiliated residency position is offered by Providence Regional Medical Center-Everett at its Valley View Clinical Pharmacists site in Monroe Washington. The pharmacy is located in a large primary care clinic which includes family practice, internal medicine, and pediatrics. Clinic pharmacists have extensive prescriptive authority through collaborative practice agreements for the initiation of new medications, prescription refills, and immunizations. Pharmacists also manage an anticoagulation clinic, diabetes clinic, and refill authorization service. The resident is a team member of a patient-centered medical home. While most of the resident's time is spent in the internal medicine and family practice clinics, some staffing in the outpatient pharmacy is required. Opportunities for didactic and clinical teaching are available.
