Series Overview

From Theory to Practice: Clinical Reasoning Series in Critical Care Pharmacy is one component of the professional development program developed by ACCP and approved for the recertification by the Board of Pharmacy Specialties (BPS) for the recertification of Board Certified Critical Care Pharmacists (BCCCPs). The 2016 program is also approved by BPS for the recertification of the Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist (BCPS). Clinical pharmacists who are board certified in both the pharmacotherapy and critical care pharmacy specialties and who successfully complete the associated recertification test will receive credit toward recertification in both specialties.

This educational series explores cutting-edge, contemporary therapeutic topics, and demonstrates scientifically sound clinical reasoning and decision-making. It employs learning activities designed to advance the participants’ skills and abilities to critically evaluate the scientific evidence and to effectively incorporate into daily practice significant findings that lead to effective and safe patient care.
