Updates in Therapeutics®: Pharmacotherapy Preparatory Review and Recertification Course is ideal for pharmacy professionals who are preparing for the Pharmacotherapy Specialty Certification Examination administered by the Board of Pharmacy Specialties (BPS), for those seeking recertification credit, and for those seeking a self-paced review and refresher course in pharmacotherapy disease states and therapeutics.

Developed by Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialists (BCPSs) and highly experienced Pharmacotherapy experts, the course provides a comprehensive review of the knowledge domains covered in the pharmacotherapy specialty certification examination. Using a case-based approach, the course places a strong emphasis on the thought processes needed to solve patient care problems in each therapeutic area.

View slide presentations and listen to faculty as they review each presentation, slide by slide. The online version of the audio-synchronized slide presentations include:
    • Printable slide decks available as PDFs.
    • Audio recordings available as MP3 files that can be put onto a portable listening device or burned onto an audio CD.
    • Seven online posttests for earning 25.0 hours of CPE

  • Registration for the ACCP Last-Chance Pharmacotherapy Review Webinar. These last-minute cram sessions will be presented in early September, shortly before the administration of the certification examinations. Recordings of this webinar are also included.
  • The ACCP Pharmacotherapy Mock Exam is a 175-item question bank based on the domains, tasks, and knowledge statements outlined in the BPS Pharmacotherapy content outline. The Web-based Mock Exam is available from August 1, 2017, through October 31, 2018.

ACPE CPE Credit:
To receive ACPE continuing pharmacy education (CPE) credit, participants must successfully complete, submit and pass the Web-based posttest by October 31, 2018. Posttests can only be submitted once. Statements of credit will be available at CPE Monitor, https://nabp.pharmacy/cpe-monitor-service/, within 2-3 business days after completion of this posttest.

Provided through the collaborative efforts of NABP, the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and ACPE-accredited providers, the CPE Monitor Service allows you to electronically keep track of continuing pharmacy education (CPE) credits from ACPE-accredited providers. BCPS Recertification Credit

To receive recertification credit, participants must successfully complete the 2017 BCPS Recertification course*, submit and pass the Web-based posttests by August 15, 2017. Posttests can only be submitted once.
ACCP, as the official provider approved by the Board of Pharmacy Specialties (BPS), will record and report recertification credit earned for this activity directly to BPS. All participants must have a Board of Pharmacy Specialties (BPS) Credential Number, expiration date and date of birth on file with ACCP for reporting purposes.
