The University of Mississippi School of Pharmacy invites applications for a 12-month non-tenure track position at the rank of Clinical Assistant or Clinical Associate Professor. Rank will be commensurate with the candidate’s qualifications and experience. This position is jointly funded with Baptist Memorial Hospital-North Mississippi. Academic responsibilities include teaching PY1 and PY2 students in a Skills Laboratory course, facilitation and involvement in a problem-based learning course, and training of pharmacy students on practice experiences (IPPE and APPE). The candidate will also be required to contribute to the scholarship and service missions of the Department. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive medication management for inpatients in an interdisciplinary environment alongside the adult medicine and various specialties services and as patients transition to outpatient settings. This position will also have responsibilities related to pharmacy residency program administration and/or preceptorship. The position is based in Oxford, Mississippi where the University of Mississippi main campus and Baptist Memorial Hospital-North Mississippi are located.

The successful candidate must have a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an ACPE accredited School/College of Pharmacy with residency and be licensed, or eligible for licensure, as a pharmacist by the State of Mississippi. The candidate must demonstrate a commitment to teaching, service, and scholarship, and competence as a clinician. Board certification is encouraged. Salary and rank will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
