To effectively fulfill this position, candidate must meet the following requirements:
o Consistently demonstrates appropriate and professional communication behavior towards patients, families and other health care professionals.
o Possesses strong critical/analytical thinking, organizational, communication and motivational skills.
o Under the direction of the Clinical Manager, cooperates with Management and peers to promote an environment of teamwork, accountability and collaboration.
o Demonstrates robust knowledge and skills in clinical activities (TPN, MUE, ADR programs, monographs, journal clubs, assists in Antimicrobial Stewardship Program, implementation of clinical initiatives, etc.).
o Participates in pharmacy leadership activities: formulary management; policy development and maintenance; CQI involvement; active committee participation.
o Coordination of pharmacy student and/or resident program.
o Performs all clinical duties on weekend/holiday rotation and during weekdays as needed.
o Efficient utilization of Word, PowerPoint and Excel required.
o Must possess a degree from a College of Pharmacy accredited by the American Council on Pharmaceutical Education (ACPE).
o Current, valid Florida Pharmacist license required.
o Doctor of Pharmacy Degree or BS Degree in Pharmacy. PGY1 Residency and one to three years of supervisory experience is preferred.
o Three to five years of acute care clinical pharmacy hospital experience is preferred.
o Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist certification or equivalent required. If not already certified, must obtain within 2 years of date of hire.
