Position Description
The Department of Pharmacotherapy is seeking to fill a twelve-month, tenure track faculty position at the rank of Assistant/Associate/Professor within the broader disciplines of translational or outcomes research. Applicants must possess an earned doctorate in a health research-related field, including but not limited to, behavioral research, pharmacoeconomics, pharmacoepidemiology, health economics, or pharmacogenomics. An undergraduate or professional degree in Pharmacy is desirable. The ideal candidate will possess a documented research record as well as a strong commitment to and demonstrated competence, in teaching.

The University of Utah, College of Pharmacy is located in the state-of-the-art L.S. Skaggs Research Institute and is part of University of Utah Health, an umbrella health sciences center encompassing a wide scope of clinical and research enterprises. The College of Pharmacy is ranked No. 4 in National Institutes of Health research productivity and in the top twenty list of PharmD programs in the nation. The department has a unique mix of clinical, research and tenured faculty to support the training of professional and graduate students. Faculty have the opportunity to collaborate with health services researchers across University of Utah Health (U of U Health) in the Departments of Family and Preventive Medicine, Pediatrics, Population Health Sciences, as well as the Veterans Administration IDEAS Center, the Program in Personalized Health, the Huntsman Cancer Institute, Department of Economics and various other academic departments in the School of Medicine, and within the Department of Pharmacotherapy through the Pharmacotherapy Outcomes Research Center. U of U Health also has an NIH-funded Center for Clinical and Translational Science (CCTS). The environment is highly conducive for interdisciplinary and translational research.
