Position Description
The Drug Information Group (DIG) at the University of Illinois at Chicago, Department of Pharmacy Practice is an academic and consultative unit of the College of Pharmacy and provides clinical support to organizations in need. The goals of the Center are to provide evidence-based medical information, to enhance the skills of health care professionals through training sessions, and to serve as a resource for health care professionals involved in patient care. The DIG is expanding services and is seeking curriculum vitae/resumes from qualified individuals for the position of Clinical Faculty (Open Rank)/Clinical Pharmacist. This position is a full-time appointment.

Clinical Assistant/Associate/Full Professor/Clinical Pharmacist
The academic responsibilities of the clinical faculty member (Clinical Assistant/Associate/Full Professor) include the provision of didactic lectures and precepting entry level Doctor of Pharmacy students, PGY1 residents and PGY2 residents. Scholarly activities, including presentations and publications, are an expectation as well.

The individual will be responsible for responding to drug information inquiries, preparing formulary monographs and class reviews, completing contract-related projects, and teaching (didactic and experiential). In addition, the individual will have project management responsibilities for fee-for-service endeavors of the DIG.

PharmD and residency experience required. Completion of both a PGY1 and PGY2 specialty residency in drug information preferred. Candidates must present evidence of, or eligibility for, Illinois licensure as a professional pharmacist at time of employment. Highly preferred strong clinical knowledge base; analytical and problem solving skills; strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to consistently meet deadlines; demonstrate flexibility and ability to work independently and adapt to a changing work environment; excellent planning, time management and organizational skills. Rank will commensurate with experience.
