Position Description
The University of Texas at Austin College of Pharmacy is seeking applications for a non-tenure track Clinical Assistant Professor in the Division of Pharmacy Practice in Austin, Texas with a clinical site within the Seton Healthcare Network.

The successful applicant will lecture, facilitate practice laboratories, and supervise advanced pharmacy practice experiences for students in the Pharm.D. program. Clinical service that supports resident and Pharm.D. student education is expected, as well as service to the college, university, and broader professional community. The primary practice focus of this position is adults admitted to hospital general medicine service.

Candidates with a strong background in cardiology and infectious diseases are preferred. The faculty member will be expected to supervise pharmacy students and residents to help them learn how to care for patients with acute and chronic conditions, such as acute coronary syndromes, heart failure, stroke, cirrhosis, diabetes, pneumonia, skin and skin structure infections, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, asthma, alcohol withdrawal, pain, and electrolyte disorders. The successful individual will have the opportunity to collaborate with tenure track and non-tenure track faculty on research and scholarship.

Candidates must have an earned Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an ACPE accredited school of pharmacy, be licensed or eligible for licensure in the State of Texas, have successfully completed a specialty practice residency or equivalent experience, and be able to demonstrate effective teaching.
