Position Description
The College of Pharmacy at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science invites applications for a pharmacy practice faculty position (non-tenure track) at the Assistant/Associate Professor level with a practice focus in Infectious Diseases. Successful candidates should have a Doctor of Pharmacy degree and be licensed or eligible for state licensure. Candidates should have successfully completed a post-graduate residency program in pharmacy practice and PGY-2 residency in infectious diseases (preferred) or have equivalent experience. Strong consideration will be given to candidates who are Board Certified in Infectious Diseases or Pharmacotherapy with Added Qualifications. Teaching experience should be consistent with assistant or associate professor rank. Candidates with research experience, a strong interest in interprofessional education, and a commitment to scholarly activity are also highly desirable.

Candidates will join a progressive clinical practice at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in downtown Chicago . The candidate will work with the antimicrobial stewardship team and will also have opportunities to round with one of three infectious diseases consult services while serving as a preceptor to both pharmacy students and residents. Additional teaching responsibilities include providing innovative, classroom education to pharmacy students and other health care professional students in an interprofessionally-based curriculum. Candidates will also be expected to participate in research/scholarly activities and service to the College and profession.
