Position Description
This is a full-time overnight position at our Dallas location in the emergency department. The pharmacist in this position is responsible for all pharmaceutical services. As a member of the multidisciplinary healthcare team, the clinical pharmacist promotes an environment of safe, rational, effective, and efficient medication use while providing services to meet the needs of the patient.

This position requires depth within the specialized field of pediatric emergency medicine. The clinical pharmacist will participate in prospective review of emergency department orders and discharge prescriptions, provide drug information and discharge teaching as needed, and participate in code/trauma responses. The clinical pharmacist will also participate in quality improvement activities, continuing education programs, and precepting.

This position is a 7 shifts on/7 shifts off overnight position (2100 - 0900).

Required Skills:
Current Texas Pharmacist license
BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification must be issued within 90 days of hire
PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification within 180 days of hire
ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification within 180 days of hire
IV certification
Board of Pharmacy Specialty certification preferred

Required Experience:
Degree (B.S. or Pharm.D.) from an ACPE accredited school of pharmacy
Completion of PGY1 residency or equivalent clinical experience required
Completion of PGY2 residency preferred
