The Dean is the chief administrative officer and chief academic officer of the College, providing academic, administrative, and fiscal leadership to the College. This includes responsibility for strategic planning and student recruitment, in addition to advancement of the College’s mission in education, service, scholarship, and research. Reporting to the Provost, the Dean of Pharmacy will partner closely with faculty and staff within the College as well as with the Dean of Osteopathic Medicine and other leadership across the University. The College has six staff and 26 full-time faculty across three departments: Clinical Sciences; Pharmaceutical and Biomedical Sciences; and Social and Economic Sciences. Through its innovative curriculum and team-based learning approach, the College's students learn contemporary pharmacy practice and how to provide primary patient care in collaboration with physicians. The 32,000 square foot College of Pharmacy building includes faculty and staff offices; classrooms; library; student center with ample study areas; and pharmacy practice, compounding, and research labs.

Located in Clovis, California, CHSU benefits from proximity to community health care providers and complementary programs at California State University, Fresno, Fresno Pacific University and UCSF-Fresno, creating venues for inter-institutional collaboration.
