Position Description
The University of New Mexico Hospital is the primary teaching hospital for the state of New Mexico. UNMH is also the only level I trauma center in the state and also serves portions of northern Arizona and southern Colorado. In addition, UNMH is the county hospital for Bernalillo County and is a primary stroke center along with an advanced ECMO program. This diverse patient population makes providing pharmaceutical care to patients a unique and challenging opportunity.

This position is a full-time, 7-on-7-off, evening shift position. Responsibilities include providing pharmaceutical care for 3 ICUs (MICU, NSICU, and TSCIU), collaborating with the multidisciplinary care teams, responding to medical emergencies throughout the hospital, and assisting the ED pharmacist as needed. There are opportunities for teaching with the college of pharmacy and precepting residents and students in collaboration with the critical care pharmacy team. Qualified candidates should preferably have completed a critical care or emergency medicine residency, however, qualified experience will also be considered.
