Pharmacists and pharmacy students gathered in Beirut, Lebanon, on November 16, 2018, for a 1-day intensive program on cardiovascular diseases. The 2018 ACCP International Symposium, titled “Pharmacists and the Heart: Advancing Care for Patients with Cardiovascular Disease,” was held in conjunction with the 26th Order of Pharmacists of Lebanon Annual Congress. Session activities tackled major advances in the evidence-based management of common cardiovascular diseases contributing to the global health risk and global morbidity. The program highlighted pharmacist services and contributions toward optimizing therapy for these conditions and advancing patient and health outcomes.
