Book Highlights

Cardiology

Cardiology is the debut title for the 2019–2021 edition of the Pharmacotherapy Self-Assessment Program (PSAP).

In addition to the standard review-style chapters, each PSAP book in the new series will include modules that offer online-only learning activities. Examples include interactive cases and prerecorded presentations. “Statistics in Practice” will also be a standing feature that appears in each release. The focus of this feature will be on applying statistical analysis to practice and patient care decisions. Scenario-based activities will provide concise, in-depth discussions of various statistical methods to engage the learners in activities that better help them critically appraise the medical literature.

Released January 15, Cardiology is divided into four learning modules offering a total of 18.5 continuing pharmacy education (CPE) hours, as follows:

  • Cardiology I (5.0 CPE hours)
    • Hypertension
    • Dyslipidemia
  • Cardiology II (6.5 CPE hours)
