Nutritional/GI Care

An ACCP Publication

Nutritional/GI Care is the most recent release of the Ambulatory Care Self-Assessment Program.

This book covers common nutritional and gastrointestinal conditions encountered in the ambulatory care setting. In addition, it covers important issues of topical relevance to every practicing pharmacist: drug information resources and billing for clinical pharmacist services.

Divided into four modules, the book includes following chapters:

  • Nutritional Supplements in Older Adults
  • Nutritional Deficiencies After Bariatric Surgery
  • Billing and Reimbursement for Clinical Pharmacist Services
  • Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease
  • IBD Management and Specialty Pharmacy
  • Nonalcoholic Fatty Liver Disease
  • Drug Information and Electronic Resources

As with all of ACCP’s Self-Assessment Programs, this release includes timely, high-quality educational content that strives to advance patient care and pharmacist services. The online book is filled with hyperlinks to key resources, and references are provided throughout for learners wishing to further their research and advance their learning on a particular topic.

Pharmacists seeking continuing pharmacy education credit and Board Certified Ambulatory Care Pharmacists (BCACPs) seeking specialty recertification credit can earn up to 15.5 credit hours by successfully completing the posttests associated with the various modules in this book.
