Research Primer

Part of the Research and Scholarship Academy core programming, this introductory module is designed to engage participants in discussions with faculty researchers conducting clinical, observational, educational, health services, and implementation science studies. Participants will work in small groups with faculty in participants research areas of interest to complete worksheets focused on their research questions and assessing the FINER criteria. A discussion of the importance of mentors will be followed by another small-group session discussing worksheet topics that focus participants on applying the information to their individual settings for research project success. Completing the worksheets for this session will contribute significantly to participants portfolio requirements for this module. Participants should bring at least one sample of a research question with a research hypothesis or specific aims from a planned project, project under development, or current project.





To receive credit toward a certificate of completion, participants must be enrolled in the ACCP Academy. For those enrolled in the ACCP Academy, this module must be completed before subsequent programming.
