Available for 2.00 hours of CPE creditActivity Number: 0217-0000-24-103-L01-PActivity Type: An Application-Based ActivityIn every clinical area, data is rapidly emerging often leaving clinicians with the task of trying to keep up while maintaining other responsibilities. This session aims to highlight emerging data across several clinical specialties (cardiology, asthma, gastrointestinal, central nervous system) allowing attendees to leave the session with a broad but comprehensive update. This will be accomplished with experts in their respective field having a limited time frame to present key data, focusing on situations in which less pharmacotherapy is now recommended. The goal for this program is for attendees to experience a well rounded, fast-paced update on evidence that may change their practice.
Learning Objectives1. Identify appropriate candidates for deescalation in drug therapy.
2. Examine application of new evidence surrounding duration of pharmacotherapy in comparison to guidelines in various specialties.
3. Design a pharmacotherapy regimen for patients on dual antiplatelet therapy.
4. Design a pharmacotherapy regimen for patients with asthma using single maintenance and reliever therapy (SMART).
5. Design a pharmacotherapy regimen for patients on proton pump inhibitor therapy.
6. Design a pharmacotherapy regimen for patients on psychotropic medications.
