2020 ACCP Annual Meeting and 2021 Spring Forum to Be Conducted Virtually

July 07, 2020

ACCP’s 2020 Annual Meeting, originally planned for Dallas, Texas, will now be presented virtually. All meeting-related activities will be delivered online, including:

  • Educational programming as well as opportunities to earn recertification credit
  • Scientific poster presentations
  • Presentation of national awards, presidential addresses, and induction of new ACCP Fellows
  • Clinical Pharmacy Challenge national student competition
  • PRN Business Meetings and Networking Forums
  • Committee meetings
  • Professional Placement Forum
  • ACCP Academy programming
  • ACCP Foundation fundraising events
Some activities will be presented during the original meeting dates, October 24–27, while others may be scheduled before and after these dates. Registration for the Annual Meeting is expected to open in August.

The move to a virtual meeting was spurred by concern for the health and safety of ACCP’s members, meeting registrants, speakers, and staff and their families and patients. Virtual delivery will ensure that participants affected by travel restrictions or safety concerns can participate fully in all Annual Meeting activities. Over the coming weeks, ACCP will release more information as it becomes available regarding the schedule and mode of delivery for 2020 Annual Meeting activities. Some educational programs and meeting activities will be streamed live, while others will be prerecorded.

The Sheraton Dallas Hotel was the planned site for the live presentation of the 2020 ACCP Annual Meeting. The Sheraton will instead host the 2023 Annual Meeting, November 11–14, 2023.

Information about the 2020 Annual Meeting will be updated on a regular basis at www.accp.com/am.

2021 Spring Forum to Be Presented Virtually

ACCP’s 2021 Spring Forum will also be delivered virtually. The dates and schedule for the 2021 event will be determined later this year.

The Spring Forum traditionally includes specialty certification review and recertification courses in Critical Care Pharmacy and Pharmacotherapy, a biostatistics workshop, the Emerge from the Crowd: How to Become a Standout Residency Candidate program, the Clinical Practice Forum, ACCP Academy programming, and scientific poster presentations. These programs are slated to be part of the lineup of virtual offerings at the 2021 ACCP Spring Forum. More information about Spring Forum activities will be available in late summer or early fall 2020.
