ACCP Programs for Postgraduate Trainees

The resident, fellow, and graduate student monthly electronic newsletter highlights membership benefits, important dates, residency programs, individual PRNs, and answers to postgraduate trainee questions. You can preview the newsletter at https://www.accp.com/resfel/newsletter.aspx.

You can follow news and events for postgraduate trainees on Twitter @ACCPpostgrads.

Mentoring Program

The ACCP Mentoring Program allows all postgraduate trainee members of ACCP to search for and select a mentor from the database of ACCP volunteer members. Once trainees have selected a mentor, they are encouraged to correspond with their mentor at least monthly throughout their training year. ACCP supports mentors and mentees with monthly e-mails of potential topics for discussion. Opportunities and resources offered by ACCP are also included in the monthly correspondence. The 2019–2020 program opened August 12, 2019, to residents and fellows seeking a mentor.

Professional Placement Forum

ACCP continues to meet resident- and fellow-specific needs at the ACCP Annual Meeting with programs addressing their upcoming search for a practitioner position. The Professional Placement Forum will feature PGY2 and new practitioner positions to allow trainees to get a head start on searching for their next position. Residents and fellows can also attend a special session on researching, evaluating, and negotiating that first job offer.
