ACCP Report - March 2019

Introducing the New ACCP Report “About” Series

This month, ACCP launches a new series of communications intended to further inform members of the College’s work in developing, advancing, and positioning clinical pharmacists within the evolving health care environment. The series will highlight the College’s collaborative work with partner organizations as well as its continued efforts to accomplish ACCP’s mission and strategic plan. Each entry will provide a concise overview of the College’s activities in a given priority sector, including introductions to collaborating organizations and other stakeholders of interest to ACCP and its members.

Here’s a preview of future topics:

  • About Standards of Practice for Clinical Pharmacists (see below)
  • About the ACCP strategic plan
  • About ACCP’s collaboration with physician organizations
  • About the Joint Commission of Pharmacy Practitioners (JCPP)
  • About the Council on Credentialing in Pharmacy (CCP)
  • About the Patient-Centered Primary Care Collaborative (PCPCC)
  • About the American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM)
  • About PPI (Pharmacotherapy Publications, Inc.)
  • About the ACCP Foundation and ACCP’s research mission

Of course, as organizational opportunities and directions from the ACCP Board of Regents unfold, the College will add new, high-priority topics to the list. ACCP encourages members to follow this series to track the progress of the College’s strategic approach to the intra- and interprofessional issues relevant to clinical pharmacy’s future.
