Dual BPS Recertification Credit Available Through the Clinical Reasoning Series Programs at the Global Conference


Board-certified specialists will have an opportunity to earn dual recertification credit at the ACCP Global Conference on Clinical Pharmacy this October. The Clinical Reasoning Series programs in Ambulatory Care Pharmacy and Critical Care Pharmacy, to be presented October 22, have been approved by the Board of Pharmacy Specialties to offer dual credit in Pharmacotherapy as well. Specialists certified in critical care pharmacy (BCCCPs) or ambulatory care pharmacy (BCACPs) and pharmacotherapy (BCPSs) can earn 6.0 hours of recertification credit in each specialty upon successful completion of the posttest.

This year’s Clinical Reasoning Series in Critical Care Pharmacy program, titled The 2018 PADIS Guideline: Boosting Efforts to Reduce Pain, Oversedation, Delirium, Immobility and Disrupted Sleep in the ICU, will explore the new pain, agitation, delirium, immobility and sleep (PADIS) guidelines to be released this summer. Faculty with expertise in critical care will expand on the new 2018 PADIS guidelines and provide practical approaches to implementation. For more information, click here.

This year’s Clinical Reasoning Series in Ambulatory Care Pharmacy program, titled It’s Not a Sprint, It’s a Marathon: Keeping Up with Hypertension Management, is designed for specialists involved in treating patients with hypertension of all severities. Expert faculty will examine increased risks of cardiovascular, cerebrovascular, and renal disease in patients with hypertension and the complexity of treating these patients.
