The ACCP Board of Regents has voted to approve the application of the Greater Milwaukee College of Clinical Pharmacy as a regional chapter of ACCP. Approval of the Milwaukee chapter brings the number of national and international ACCP chapters to 18.

The fledgling chapter has already conducted a variety of activities to meet the needs of chapter members. Chapter President Sarah Ray, Pharm.D., BCPS, gave ACCP Report an update on the chapter’s efforts. “The Greater Milwaukee College of Clinical Pharmacy is excited to establish its chapter,” she said, adding:

Members participated in a community outreach event with Keep Greater Milwaukee Beautiful at the end of September, and we held our first educational event on Hepatitis C Management at the end of October. Our members have identified networking and educational events as priorities for the chapter. In the future we plan to establish BPS exam study groups.

The new chapter’s geographic area encompasses what is known as Metropolitan Milwaukee, which includes southeastern Wisconsin. For more information on the Greater Milwaukee College of Clinical Pharmacy, contact Chapter President Sarah Ray at [email protected].
