Five Mentored Research Investigator Training (MeRIT) participants delivered platform presentations of their research on Monday, October 17, at the 2022 ACCP Global Conference on Clinical Pharmacy in San Francisco. Presenters were selected from published papers of completed MeRIT research. In addition to presenting their research, each participant briefly described how completing the MeRIT program had affected their career, professional mentorships/relationships, and future research.

- Kirk E. Evoy, Pharm.D., BCACP, BC-ADM, CTTS, Clinical Associate Professor at The University of Texas at Austin and Clinical Pharmacist at University Health System: Receipt of Substance Use Counseling Among Ambulatory Patients Prescribed Opioids in the United States and National Outpatient Medication Utilization for Opioid and Alcohol Use Disorders from 2014 to 2016

The 2-year longitudinal MeRIT program is designed to help clinical pharmacists develop the abilities necessary to conduct investigator-initiated research, either independently as a principal investigator or as an active co-investigator within a research team.
