The critical care pharmacist often has to provide care for patients with life-threatening exposure to toxic substances. Toxicology/Practice Issues in Intensive Care, the latest release in the Critical Care Self-Assessment Program (CCSAP), provides cutting-edge reviews on commonly encountered toxic exposures as well as practice implications for the patient experiencing transitions of care.

The first module includes chapters on acetaminophen and salicylate exposure; and exposure to toxic alcohols. The second module includes chapters a chapter on patients exposed to cardiovascular drug; a chapter on neurologic agent exposure; and a chapter on transitions of care.
