Joseph J. Saseen, Pharm.D., FCCP, BCACP, BCPS

Joseph Saseen is Associate Dean for Clinical Affairs and Professor of Clinical Pharmacy and a Professor of Family Medicine at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus. He has responsibilities for enhancing the school’s clinical enterprise, further developing sustainable clinical service models, and advocating for advancing the practice of pharmacy in Colorado. Dr. Saseen is a clinical pharmacist and focuses on cardiovascular risk reduction and population health and his scholarly work includes almost 200 peer-reviewed publications and book chapters. Dr. Saseen is the Immediate Past President of the National Lipid Association (NLA). He is a fellow of the American College of Clinical Pharmacy, American Society of Health-system Pharmacists, and American Pharmacists Association, the American Heart Association, and is a master of NLA. He is board certified as a Pharmacotherapy Specialist, an Ambulatory Care Pharmacist and is a certified as a Clinical Lipid Specialist. He was recipient of the 2022 University of Colorado Chancellor’s Teaching Recognition Award, and the 2022 Colorado Pharmacists Society Bowl of Hygeia Award.

Craig D. Cox, Pharm.D., BCPS

Dr. Craig Cox is an associate professor of pharmacy practice and vice chair of experiential programs at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center School of Pharmacy (TTUHSC SOP) in Lubbock, Texas. He received his Pharm.D. degree from Washington State University in 1999 and then completed a critical care specialty residency at TTUHSC SOP in 2000. As a faculty member since 2000, Cox has taught in multiple pharmacotherapy and case study courses and served as director of the 2-year pharmacotherapy residency program from 2005 to 2009. As a member of the Texas Pharmacy Congress, Cox serves on the Texas Consortium on Experiential Programs, which meets quarterly to discuss issues related to experiential education in the state of Texas. Since 2005 as vice chair of experiential programs, he has been responsible for eight staff members and coordination of IPPE and APPE rotations across four distant campuses. His current practice site is on the adult medicine ward at the university medical center, where he has provided 6-week rotation experiences to more than 250 IPPE/APPE students and 20 PGY1/PGY2 residents. Cox has provided preceptor continuing education programs at the local, state, and national levels. He served as chair of the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy (AACP) Experiential Education Section for 2011–2012 and is completing a 3-year term on the AACP Board of Directors (2013–2016). His interests include developing innovative preceptor training programs and addressing issues related to the quality and standardization of experiential rotations.

Brian L. Erstad, Pharm.D., FCCP, BCPS
Brian L. Erstad, Pharm.D., FCCP, BCPS

Brian L. Erstad, Pharm.D., MCCM, FCCP, FASHP, BCPS is currently a tenured Professor and Head of the Department of Pharmacy Practice & Science at the University of Arizona College of Pharmacy. He is also a Center Investigator for the Center for Health Outcomes and Pharmacoeconomics Research and a co-director for the Arizona Clinical and Translational Research Graduate Certificate Program. He was a member of the FDA’s Drug Safety and Risk Management Advisory Committee from 2011 to 2015 with subsequent service as an ad hoc committee member. Dr. Erstad has been the program director for 25 critical care residents and fellows at the Arizona Health Sciences Center. Dr. Erstad’s research interests pertain to critical care medicine with an emphasis on patient safety and related outcomes’ research - he has authored more than 250 peer-reviewed articles, monographs and book chapters. Additionally, he is sole editor of the textbook titled Critical Care Pharmacotherapy. Dr. Erstad is a Past President of the American College of Clinical Pharmacy (ACCP) and was on the Board of Directors of ASHP. He has served on numerous committees and task forces for other organizations including BPS, AHRQ, USP, the Society of Critical Care Medicine (SCCM), the American College of Chest Physicians, and the American College of Surgeons. With respect to teaching and clinical activities, Dr. Erstad is a recipient of the AACP Robert K. Chalmers Distinguished Educator Award, an AACP Innovations in Teaching Award, the ACCP Clinical Practice and Educator Awards, a Master of Critical Care Medicine designation from SCCM, and was the first pharmacist to receive SCCM’s Master Clinician/Teacher Excellence Award and ASHP’s Preceptor Award. For scholarship, Dr. Erstad was the recipient of the Award for Sustained Contributions from ASHP, and for service activities, he was the recipient of the Warren E. Weaver/Richard P Penna Award from BPS.

Stuart T. Haines, Pharm.D., FCCP, BCACP, BCPS

Stuart T. Haines, Pharm.D., BCPS, BCACP is Professor of Pharmacy Practice and Director, Division of Pharmacy Professional Development at the University of Mississippi School of Pharmacy and Chief Education Officer (CEO) for the Wellbeing Elixir / Yoga Apothecary LLC.  He is the Editor-in-Chief of iForumRx.org, an online community of practice for ambulatory care pharmacy specialists, and an Editor for the textbook DiPiro’s Pharmacotherapy: A Pathophysiologic Approach.  He has served in several elected and appointed leadership positions in national organizations and on numerous editorial boards.  He has authored more than 120 scholarly papers and book chapters regarding diabetes, cardiovascular disease, ambulatory care pharmacy practice models, and instructional methods.

Ila M. Harris, Pharm.D., FCCP, BCPS

Ila M. Harris, Pharm.D. is a Professor at the Medical School (Department of Family Medicine and Community Health) and Adjunct Professor at the College of Pharmacy (Department of Pharmaceutical Care and Health Systems) at the University of Minnesota. She is on the faculty of St. Joseph’s Family Medicine Residency Program. She is a Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist (BCPS). After obtaining her B.S. in pharmacy and Pharm.D. degrees at Philadelphia College of Pharmacy and Science, she completed a residency in family medicine at the Medical University of South Carolina. Prior to coming to the University of Minnesota, she was on the faculty at St. Louis College of Pharmacy, St. Louis University Medical School, and Deaconess Hospital Family Medicine Residency Program.

Dr. Harris is active in the American College of Clinical Pharmacy (ACCP) and formerly served on the Board of Regents. She is a Fellow of ACCP. She was a recipient of the ACCP Ambulatory Care Practice and Research Network Achievement Award. She is a former Specialty Council member of the Board of Pharmacy Specialties (BPS). She has served on and chaired numerous ACCP committees and is a past chair for the ACCP Ambulatory Care PRN. Dr. Harris maintains an active practice in outpatient family medicine, with practice interests in anticoagulation, asthma, COPD, smoking cessation, diabetes, hypertension, dyslipidemia, and women's health. Her scholarship activities include assessing the outcomes of clinical pharmacy services, family medicine education and experiential pharmacy education.

Eric MacLaughlin, Pharm.D., FASHP, FCCP, BCPS is Professor and Chair, Department of Pharmacy Practice at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center School of Pharmacy. He is also a Clinical Professor in the Departments of Family Medicine and Internal Medicine at TTUHSC School of Medicine. He received his B.S. in Pharmacy from Albany College of Pharmacy, Pharm.D. from the Medical University of South Carolina, and completed a Primary Care Specialty Residency at the University of Colorado. His practice specialty is family medicine. Dr. MacLaughlin’s research interests include management of cardiovascular diseases and education of healthcare professionals.

Gina D. Moore is an assistant dean for clinical and professional affairs and associate professor at the University of Colorado Skaggs School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences. In these roles, she is responsible for a variety of contracts and projects, including legislative advocacy and drug utilization review for the state of Colorado. Her practice interests are in pharmacy law and management. She earned her Pharm.D. degree from the University of the Pacific and her MBA degree from the University of Colorado.

Robert L. Page, II, Pharm.D., S, FCCP, BCPS

Dr. Robert Page is a professor in the Departments of Clinical Pharmacy and Physical/Rehabilitative Medicine at the University of Colorado Denver, Schools of Pharmacy and Medicine (Aurora), and the clinical pharmacy specialist for the Division of Cardiology and Heart Transplantation.

Dr. Page received his bachelor’s of science degree in biology and chemistry from Furman University (Greenville, SC); bachelor’s of science in pharmacy and Pharm.D. degrees from the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC; Charleston); master’s of science degree in public health with an epidemiology focus from the University of Colorado School of Medicine (Denver); and specialty residency in pharmacotherapy from MUSC. He is presently a Ph.D. student in health services research and health policy in the Colorado School of Public Health (Aurora). He is a board-certified pharmacotherapy specialist with added qualifications in cardiology, a Board Certified Geriatric Pharmacist, and a fellow of the following organizations: the American College of Clinical Pharmacy, the Heart Failure Society of America, the American Heart Association (Council on Clinical Cardiology), the American Society of Consultant Pharmacists, and the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists.

Dr. Page has written over 150 several abstracts, journal articles, and book chapters in the areas of cardiovascular pharmacotherapy and has received many teaching awards. His research interests consist of medication adherence and pharmacotherapy complications in the heart transplant recipient and the patient with heart failure.

Dr. Page served as a faculty member for the American College of Clinical Pharmacy Updates in Therapeutics: The Pharmacotherapy Preparatory Review Course from 2009-2012.

Roland A. Patry
Roland A. Patry

Roland A. Patry, M.S., Dr.P.H., FASHP, is Professor and Regional Dean, Dallas campuses, Texas Tech School of Pharmacy. He received his pharmacy degree from the University of Connecticut, an M.S. from the University of Houston, and his doctorate in public health (health services organization) from the University of Texas, School of Public Health. He completed an accredited 2-year residency at the VAMC Houston. He is also a Fellow, American Society of Health System Pharmacists (ASHP).

Dr. Patry served as Associate Professor (tenured) and Vice-Chair, Department of Clinical Pharmacy and Administration at the University of Houston, College of Pharmacy. He became Associate Director of Pharmacy Services and then Director at Baylor University Health Sciences Center in Dallas, With the opening of the Texas Tech HSC School of Pharmacy, he became one of the founding faculty. He has served on numerous leadership positions within the School of

Pharmacy including Executive Associate Dean; Associate Dean for Patient Care Services; Interim Regional Dean, Abilene as well as his most recent position as Chair, Department of Pharmacy Practice. He currently is the faculty advisor for the PharmD-MBA joint degree program.

Dr. Patry has served as President of the Texas Society of Health System Pharmacists (TSHP)and was elected for three terms as Chair, ASHP House of Delegates. He has received numerous awards including Distinguished Service Award from TSHP and TPA (Section of Consultant

Pharmacists); President's Distinguished Service Award from Texas Tech; Top 50 Distinguished Alumnus from UH College of Pharmacy and the Distinguished Alumnus Award, University of Connecticut, College of Pharmacy.
