About Clinical Reasoning Series
The Clinical Reasoning Series is comprised of four series that offer recertification credit for the following pharmacy specialists recognized by the Board of Pharmacy Specialties (BPS): Board Certified Ambulatory Care Pharmacist (BCACP), Board Certified Critical Care Pharmacist (BCCCP), Board Certified Pediatric Pharmacy Specialist (BCPPS), and Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialists (BCPS). The four series are:
- From Theory to Practice: Clinical Reasoning Series in Ambulatory Care Pharmacy
- From Theory to Practice: Clinical Reasoning Series in Critical Care Pharmacy
- From Theory to Practice: Clinical Reasoning Series in Pediatric Pharmacy
- From Theory to Practice: Clinical Reasoning Series in Pharmacotherapy
The series explores cutting-edge, contemporary therapeutic and practice-based topics and demonstrate scientifically sound clinical reasoning and decision-making skills. Active learning exercises designed to advance the specialists’ skills and abilities to critically evaluate new evidence and effectively incorporate findings that lead to effective and safe patient care into daily practice are employed.
Program content and activities focus on topics within the scope of the specialty and cover as many of the domains, tasks, and knowledge items outlined in the respective specialty content outlines, as applicable to the topic covered. Each Clinical Reasoning Series program offers new, evidence-based content that can be integrated into structured training programs or assist advanced-level practitioners in maintaining their clinical competence.
