Pharmacotherapy Preparatory Review and Recertification Course

Updates in Therapeutics®: The Pharmacotherapy Preparatory Review and Recertification Course is ideal for pharmacy professionals who are preparing for the Pharmacotherapy Specialty Certification Examination administered by the Board of Pharmacy Specialties (BPS) and for those seeking a self-paced review and refresher of disease states and therapeutics. In addition, Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialists (BCPSs) seeking recertification by continuing education may use the course to earn recertification credit.

Developed by BCPS, the course content provides a comprehensive review of the knowledge domains covered in the pharmacotherapy specialty certification examination. The course uses a case-based approach, with strong emphasis on the thought processes needed to solve patient care problems in each therapeutic area.

This course is offered in two formats: live and home study. The live course is offered once a year in conjunction with the Updates in Therapeutics meeting, traditionally held in April. The home study materials are typically available June 1 each year, and are available in a variety of formats to best suit your learning style. The online course, print workbook and DVD-ROM package, and online workbook and DVD-ROM package are available for continuing pharmacy education credit.

ACCP Updates in Therapeutics® 2014 will be held April 11–15, 2014, in Rosemont, Illinois.
