Grants

ACCP Frontiers Career Development Research Awards
Support previously unmet or under served areas of Pharmacy-Based Health Services Research, Clinical Research, or Translational Research. Frontiers Research Awards may range from $10,000 - $30,000 depending on the proposal's requisite budget. It is anticipated up to $60,000 of support will be awarded in 2008.

ACCP Pharmacotherapy Investigator Development Research Awards
Support a specific research project directly related to pharmacotherapy: Pharmacotherapy awards may be awarded up to $20,000. It is anticipated up to $40,000 of support will be awarded in 2008.

  • Eligibility: Active Full Members, Associate Members who qualify as new investigators (i.e., 10 or fewer years since completion of their formal training or first academic appointment).

Fellowships

ACCP Infectious Diseases Research Fellowship
This fellowship, supported by a grant from Pricara, Ortho-McNeil Janssen Scientific Affairs, LLC,, supports the development of Clinical Scientists in infectious disease through postgraduate fellowship experiences, or through the support of graduate students who have at least completed their qualifying examinations. Research activities must be related to the stated area of emphasis. This grant provides the fellow's stipend of $38,000, travel support of $1,000, and personnel fringe benefits of $1,500.

ACCP Oncology Research Fellowship
This fellowship, supported by a grant from sanofi-aventis, supports the development of Clinical Scientists in oncology through postgraduate fellowship experiences, or through the support of graduate students who have at least completed their qualifying examinations. Research activities must related to the stated area of emphasis. This grant provides the fellow's stipend of $38,000, travel support of $1,000, and personnel fringe benefits of $1,500.

Hematology/Oncology PRN Minisabbatical Program
An exclusive opportunity for the PRN members to gain or expand skills in practice and/or research under the guidance of experts in hematology and/or oncology.

Infectious Diseases PRN Minisabbatical Program
An exclusive opportunity for the PRN members to gain or expand skills in practice and/or research under the guidance of experts in infectious diseases pharmacotherapy.

Pain & Palliative Care PRN Minisabbatical Program
An exclusive opportunity for the PRN members to gain or expand skills in practice and/or research under the guidance of experts in pain and palliative care.


Training Programs

Anticoagulation Training Program
A four to six-week, intensive training program provided through the University of Texas and the Anticoagulation Clinics of North America.

Heart Failure Training Program
A two to four-week, intensive training program provided through Ohio State University, University of Michigan, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, University of Southern California, University of Illinois, and University of Utah.
