Second Annual ACCP Clinical Pharmacy Challenge

Quarterfinals: Saturday, October 15; 9:45 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
Semifinals: Sunday, October 16; 4:30 p.m. – 5:45 p.m.
Finals: Monday, October 17; 11:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.
Join us for the Second Annual ACCP Clinical Pharmacy Challenge on Saturday, October 15, Sunday October 16 and Monday October 17 as national student teams compete in the quarterfinal, semifinal, and final round competitions. Teams will face off in a quiz bowl–type format, answering questions in three distinct categories—Trivia/Lightning, Clinical Case, and Jeopardy-style. An expert panel of clinical pharmacy practitioners and educators has developed and reviewed the item content used in each segment.

Career Development Symposium

Saturday, October 15
2:00 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.
Chart your course for postgraduate training by attending this Career Development Symposium designed specifically for students. This symposium will allow the attendee to interact directly with current clinical pharmacy residents in PGY1 and PGY2 programs. During this session, you will acquire tips and strategies to employ when creating your curriculum vitae, gain key insights into navigating the residency matching process, and learn helpful tools and strategies to make the most of your postgraduate training experience. The symposium will be held on Saturday, October 15, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Career Development Roundtable Session

Sunday, October 16
2:30 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Join us as Dr. Joseph DiPiro, Pharm.D., FCCP, opens this dynamic session with insights on career pathways and opportunities within the clinical pharmacy profession. Students and postgraduate trainees will interact directly with clinical pharmacists in 18 specialty practice areas and discover a variety of unique career opportunities.

ACCP Residency and Fellowship Forum

Monday, October 17
8:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m.
Held exclusively at the ACCP Annual Meeting, the Residency and Fellowship Forum offers students and residents a chance to jump-start their search for a residency or fellowship position. Likewise, preceptors can get a head start on finding the right candidate(s) for their institution. Opportunities for PGY1, PGY2, and fellowship positions will be on display at this event. You must be registered for the Annual Meeting to be eligible to attend the forum.

Scientific Poster Presentations, I

Monday, October 17
11:30 a.m. – 1:15 p.m.
Visit Exhibit Hall A for the Scientific Poster Presentations on Monday, October 17; Tuesday, October 18; and Wednesday, October 19. Original research that describes the delivery, development, justification, or documentation of innovative clinical pharmacy services will be on display each day. Monday, October 17, will feature research presented by students.

Mock Interview Session—Hosted by the Education and Training PRN
