G. Robert DeYoung, Pharm.D., BCPS

Dr. DeYoung has been practicing clinical and health system–related pharmacy for 18 years. Dr. DeYoung obtained his B.S. in Pharmacy from Ferris State University. After obtaining a Pharm.D. degree at the University of Washington and completing a pharmacy residency at the University of Washington and Harborview medical centers, Dr. DeYoung worked as an Associate Professor of Pharmacy Practice for the College of Pharmacy at Ferris State University. Dr. DeYoung has been credentialed as a Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist (BCPS) through the Board of Pharmaceutical Specialties since 1993. For the past 10 years, he has worked with Advantage Health Physician Network and Saint Mary’s Health Care in Grand Rapids as a clinical pharmacist in ambulatory care. Dr. DeYoung has presented often on topics such as the pharmacotherapy of asthma, COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease), other respiratory disorders, and vaccines, as well as topics related to the use of antibiotics. In addition, he has presented and published materials on the roles of evidence-based medicine, pharmacotherapy literature evaluation, and biostatistics in optimizing drug therapies.

Dr. DeYoung is an active member of the American College of Clinical Pharmacy (ACCP) serving as an Update in Therapeutics: The Pharmacotherapy Preparatory Review Course faculty member for the past 15 years.
