Dr. Rodgers received a B.S. in Pharmacy as well as a Pharm.D. degree from the University of North Carolina (UNC) School of Pharmacy. Upon completing residencies in pharmacy practice and critical care at the Medical College of Virginia, she returned to UNC for an academic fellowship in cardiovascular pharmacotherapy. Dr. Rodgers is currently a Clinical Assistant Professor, UNC School of Pharmacy, balancing an active clinical practice with the UNC Cardiomyopathy and Cardiac Transplantation Service and teaching in cardiology and critical care. Her scholarly activities include research in heart failure and cardiac transplantation. Dr. Rodgers is a Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist with Added Qualifications in Cardiology. She recently served as Chair of the American College of Clinical Pharmacy Cardiology PRN and Secretary of the Triangle College of Clinical Pharmacy. Dr. Rodgers has generated more than 50 publications or abstracts as well as 10 book chapters, monographs, or online continuing education programs and provided more than 50 national or state presentations. Dr. Rodgers has served as a faculty member for the Update in Therapeutics: The Pharmacotherapy Preparatory Review Course since 2008.
