ACCP Welcomes Arizona Chapter

The ACCP Board of Regents has voted to approve the application of the Arizona College of Clinical Pharmacy as a regional chapter of ACCP. Approval of the Milwaukee chapter brings the number of ACCP chapters to 19 nationally and internationally.

The new chapter already has plans for a variety of activities to meet the needs of chapter members. Chapter President Scott Hardy, Pharm.D., BCPS, gave ACCP Report an update on the chapter’s efforts. “The Arizona College of Clinical Pharmacy is excited to establish its chapter,” he said, adding:

Clinical pharmacy services have transformed drastically in the Grand Canyon State and our members are eager for an organization that will center on their unique needs. To accomplish this we will focus on learning by establishing continuing education programs and board certification exam prep groups. We have plans for regular outreach events to support our local community through medication education while promoting the importance of pharmacy services. The chapter is also preparing a committee solely designed to cultivate clinical practice innovation in the state.
