ACCP Report

Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Member Assessment

ACCP remains steadfast in its commitment to create and sustain a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI). Embracing diversity and inclusion to fully achieve the College’s mission is an ACCP core value, and its inclusion as a strategic direction in the 2020 ACCP Strategic Plan underscores the prioritization of this initiative.

In December 2021, the ACCP Strategic Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Plan was released. Informed by the ACCP membership baseline DEI assessment and over 18 months of intensive professional development in DEI, the plan outlined initial priorities, goals, and objectives – phase I action plans that have been carried out through 2022. Updates on the College’s DEI work was included in the August and September 2022 issues of the ACCP Report and shared during the 2022 Global Conference Town Hall. To continue this important work, the next step in the plan is to administer an interim member assessment. As the plan outlines, this assessment will be used to track progress on phase I goals and develop phase II action plans. This anonymous assessment of inclusion and diversity within the ACCP membership is a critical component to guide the College’s leadership toward gaining a better understanding of the member experience and identifying remaining barriers to inclusion. Results of this assessment will be communicated to the membership and used to inform phase II action plans, which may include additional revisions to operational policies and procedures and/or professional development opportunities for members and staff.

Your candid responses are essential to ACCP’s DEI efforts. All responses are completely anonymous. Completion of the survey should require less than 10 minutes, and it will remain open through Thursday, January 5. Thank you in advance for considering participation in the survey.
