There’s a New GIG in Town

Join ACCP’s Research Institute as We “Go Forward” at the Annual Meeting in October

Whether your career is just starting, at the midpoint, or reaching its peak, you’re always looking for ways to go forward. ACCP’s Research Institute is always looking for opportunities to go forward, too, to provide opportunities for you to grow as the profession of clinical pharmacy changes.

Come learn more about how we’re changing to meet your needs at the ACCP Research Institute event on Monday, October 20, during the Annual Meeting. The luncheon program will take place from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Monday, October 20, in Hall 2D at the Kentucky International Convention Center.

The event is being called “There’s a new GIG in town” because it’s a chance to see all the upgrades that have been made in the Research Institute to serve the needs of clinical pharmacy professionals seeking stimulating new possibilities in their professional life. Information – together with lunch – will be available to attendees, detailing the variety of ways in which the Research Institute can offer growth and career opportunities.

The “GIG” in the event title is also a play on words, as those in attendance will receive a 1-gigabyte flash drive simply for making a $100 donation to the Frontiers Fund, which supports initiatives such as the new FIT Program and the forthcoming Research Institute PBRN (see accompanying story nearby).

The flash drive will be attached to an attractive wristband bearing the “Go Forward” motto and the ACCP logo, making it a convenient option when you need an easy way to transport data.

“We are excited about how the Research Institute is changing, and we look forward to sharing more details with convention attendees,” said Susan Fagan, Chair of the Research Institute Board of Trustees. “There truly is ‘a new GIG in town,’ and we think it will really make a meaningful difference to our members and their professional futures.”
