The 2008 Frontiers Fund Campaign represents a new beginning for the Research Institute. The Institute is expanding its mission, shifting its primary role away from grant funding and toward the facilitation of a national research agenda. This change will establish the Research Institute as a leading scientific organization poised to develop a national research agenda for clinical pharmacy. Through new educational and research opportunities available from ACCP, more members will directly benefit from the Frontiers Fund. Benefits of this transformation include:

• Through its expanded mission, the Institute will maintain its commitment to clinical excellence and a dedication to scientific rigor.
• Through the FIT Program and other researcher development initiatives, ACCP will support the training of the preeminent clinical pharmacy researchers of today and tomorrow to help them secure leadership-level funding.
• Through the PBRN, the Institute is creating opportunities for more qualified clinical pharmacy professionals, across the entire health care spectrum, to have a greater impact on the research discovery process.
