On behalf of the Board of Regents, I wish to extend you a warm welcome to the 2023 ACCP Annual Meeting. We are excited to be in Dallas, Texas, with our colleagues, mentors, and friends. Our hope is that this meeting will allow you to discover content and activities to enhance your clinical practice, research, and overall professional development.

For the annual meeting, our Program Committee has developed an extensive range of educational sessions designed to meet the needs of attendees. Specific topic areas include advocacy for the pharmacy profession, pharmacist roles in transition of patient care, application of pharmacogenomics and pharmacokinetics to optimize treatment, addressing knowledge gaps with patients, tools to mitigate pharmacy practice burnout, and much more. We anticipate that this spectrum of content will offer something for every attendee.

The ACCP Practice and Research Networks (PRNs) have also developed educational programming for this meeting. These PRN sessions provide focused and in-depth content related to the specialized interests and needs of members aligned with a specific practice/professional area of concentration. Thought-provoking and current research will be shared during contributed platform and poster presentations. This is an ideal way to learn about new developments and discoveries generated by clinical pharmacists while recognizing and supporting the scholarly work of your colleagues.

ACCP is also offering a variety of recertification programs as part of the meeting. Whether you need to earn recertification hours in Pharmacotherapy, Critical Care, Ambulatory Care, Geriatrics, or Oncology, there is a program available across this variety of specialties.

I encourage you to take advantage of the ability to network during the PRN business meetings and networking forums. We will also celebrate the accomplishments of some of our best and brightest during the Annual ACCP Awards and Recognition ceremony on Sunday morning. Afterwards, I invite everyone to attend the Annual Meeting Town Hall on Sunday afternoon. This session will allow members to share input on topics that matter to them with ACCP leadership under the theme of “We Hear You – We’re Listening and Want to Learn More.”

In closing, I want to recognize the many contributions of our volunteers and staff in preparing for the Annual Meeting. I especially want to thank the members of the 2023 Annual Meeting Program Committee, the Education Committee, and the PRNs directly responsible for the content and quality of this meeting. As a member-driven organization, ACCP strives to provide high-quality meeting experiences that reflect what members need to enhance their clinical practice and research. With the assistance of ACCP staff, members make these experiences a reality. I look forward to enjoying the 2023 ACCP Annual Meeting with you!
