Available for 1.50 hours of CPE credit
Activity Number: 0217-0000-22-181-L04-P
Activity Type: A Knowledge-Based Activity
This session is designed for faculty and clinicians precepting students, residents, and fellows in the clinical learning environment (CLE), but will also be of interest to students and residents. While most faculty and preceptors have participated in the general DEI training provided at their practice site, those often-brief sessions may not have provided adequate guidance on issues of importance. The first presentation of this session will provide recommendations for creating supportive professional mentoring relationships with learners, while the second presentation will address methods for incorporating concepts related to health equity and the impact of adverse social determinants of health (SDoH) into the patient care process.
