The American College of Clinical Pharmacy Immunology/Transplant Practice Research Network and American Society of Transplantation Pharmacy Community of Practice recently launched a Medication Access Workgroup to address medication access issues that create barriers to care for transplant patients. The group is composed of nearly 50 individuals, including transplant pharmacists, transplant physicians, pharmacy residents, and pharmacy students. To address this urgent need, workgroup members created a “Medication Access and Drug Shortage Concerns During COVID-19 Pandemic: Frequently Asked Questions” guidance document for transplant professionals.
