International Oncology Clinical Pharmacists Address Responses to COVID-19

An international panel of clinical pharmacists, including ACCP member Alexandre Chan, Pharm.D., FCCP, Professor and Chair of the Department of Clinical Pharmacy Practice at University of California, Irvine, delivered a webinar on May 14 on behalf of the International Society of Oncology Pharmacy Practitioners. Focusing on “The Global Oncology Pharmacy Response to the COVID-19 Pandemic,” the team of specialists in oncology pharmacy practice discussed the challenges related to safe handling of hazardous drugs, maintaining high-quality medication safety standards that impact various stakeholders, and creating a pathway forward through collaborative research efforts.
