Clinical Pharmacy’s Response to Monkeypox

Share Information With Colleagues

As we experience a growing outbreak of monkeypox, clinical pharmacists need information pertinent to diagnosis, prevention, and treatment. Therefore, we want to hear about member experiences, evidence-based resources, and other informational items useful to members of the patient care team. Click here for more information about this effort.

    Please consider providing us with:
  • Descriptions of how you and your colleagues are managing monkeypox-related patient care; developing and/or providing oversight for safe handling, distribution, and administration of monkeypox vaccines or antiviral therapy; providing monkeypox education within your practice and your community; and optimizing didactic and/or experiential education about monkeypox for students and residents.
  • Accounts of your participation in interprofessional collaborations to establish protocols/approaches to the management of patients with monkeypox.
  • Examples of how you and your colleagues are participating in research and other scholarly activities related to monkeypox.

This information will be shared to inform clinicians and highlight successful practices that your colleagues may consider adopting.
