GTMRx Welcomes America’s Physician Groups to Board of Directors

The GTMRx Institute has elected Susan M. Huang, M.D., M.S., to the GTMRx board. As Chief Medical Officer and as a key member of America’s Physician Groups (APG) leadership team, Dr. Huang is the lead contact with APG’s member organizations on clinical matters related to their participation in value-based care. She serves as lead clinical liaison with federal and state agencies, hospitals and health systems, health plans, and other organizations.

APG is a national association representing more than 360 physician groups with approximately 170,000 physicians providing care to nearly 90 million patients. APG’s motto, “Taking Responsibility for America’s Health,” represents its members’ commitment to clinically integrated, coordinated, value-based healthcare in which physician groups are accountable for the costs and quality of patient care. APG strongly believes that patient-centered, coordinated, and accountable care offers the highest quality, most efficient delivery mechanism, and greatest value for patients. Their understanding of the value of medication optimization achieved through CMM led them to join GTMRx.

ACCP Executive Director Michael Maddux heralded APG’s involvement as a GTMRx board member organization. “Dr. Huang adds the voice of a major physician organization to the GTMRx leadership.
