Inmaculada Hernandez, Pharm.D., Ph.D., the current National Academy of Medicine (NAM) Fellow in Pharmacy, received one of three PhRMA Foundation $25,000 Challenge Awards for her paper Medicare Drug Price Negotiation: The Complexities of Selecting Therapeutic Alternatives for Estimating Comparative Effectiveness.
These awards target manuscripts that explore crucial challenges facing the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) in implementing Medicare drug price negotiation. Dr. Hernandez also recently testified before the Senate Finance Committee on the impact of drug shortages.
